Lyndhurst school shooting threat rumors deemed not credible by police

Lyndhurst students went to class on a normal schedule Tuesday morning following a police investigation that dispelled rumors of a possible shooting threat. Police looked into the matter with help from the School Resource Division, Criminal Investigations Division and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Threat Management Unit.

The local police department says a rumor about a former student planning a violent act with a gun was spread among students over the past week.
