Mohmed Abdulkarim and Nouman Essghir Charged Over RAF Fairford Incident in UK

Mohmed Abdulkarim and Nouman Essghir, both 24, have been charged under the National Security Act 2023 following an incident involving RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

The charges follow a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation. Their first hearing is scheduled at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 27.

The incident occurred on September 27, when armed police detained five men in three vans near the airbase. Petrol was found, but no explosives were discovered.

The Crown Prosecution Service said the investigation remains ongoing.
