Charleston moves closer to new fire training center with $2.9M construction package
City Council is considering a $2,893,700 early-release construction package that would allow the city to order materials before construction begins. The planned complex will bring several fire department operations together at a 45-acre city-owned site on West Ashley Circle, near Glenn McConnell Parkway.
The package covers structural steel for the training and administration building and a pre-engineered metal building for fleet and logistics operations.
