Nearly 935,000 Layers Depopulated — Illinois HPAI Outbreak

A severe outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has been confirmed at a large-scale commercial table-egg layer facility in Germantown, Clinton County, Illinois. This facility is the only large-scale layer operation in Clinton County.

State and federal veterinary authorities have placed the premises under strict quarantine and implemented standard containment, disposal, and disinfection protocols.
