Prosecutor explains murder charge in fatal Peninsula Township crash

A Grand Traverse County prosecutor says months of police contacts and warnings did nothing to change how Jackson Matthew Lakies drove before the Oct. Lakies, 18, of Traverse City, was arraigned Friday on charges of second-degree murder and operating while intoxicated causing death and was denied bond.
