Dane County Sheriff’s Office responds to Deerfield Elementary School, deemed swatting call

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office responded to what appeared to be a “swatting” call at Deerfield Elementary School on Friday, the sheriff’s office announced. The sheriff’s office said several deputies responded quickly, coordinating with school officials to secure the building.

According to the sheriff’s office, a suspicious call came into the school from a male making threats of gun violence.
