Tropical Storm 30W Forecast to Become Powerful Typhoon in Western Pacific

Tropical Storm 30W, also named In-fa, is forecast to strengthen into a powerful typhoon next week over the western Pacific.
The Joint Typhoon Warning Center’s latest forecast projects sustained winds reaching 120 knots, approximately 222 km/h, by October 28.
The forecast keeps the storm’s centre over open water during the coming days. However, its longer-term track remains uncertain, so it is too early to rule out impacts on islands.
