Fire crews respond to Villa Way house fire in Lyon County

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Storey County Fire and Central Lyon Fire also responded. Authorities say that although the homeowner initially believed the fire had been extinguished, arriving personnel confirmed that active fire remained within the wall of the home.

Initial reports indicated that a pellet smoker had caught fire in the backyard, with the fire subsequently extending into the exterior wall of the residence.
