Webster County elementary school placed on precautionary lockdown

Hacker Valley Elementary School in Webster County was placed on a precautionary lockdown Friday. 5 News reached out to the Webster Springs detachment of the West Virginia State Police, who said they could not provide any additional details at this time.

As of 12:15 p.m., the precautionary lockdown at the school was lifted and all students and staff are safe, according to Webster County Schools.
