Two Men Re-Arrested in UK Over Suspected Iran Spying Linked to RAF Fairford

British counter-terrorism police said Tuesday they had re-arrested two men suspected of assisting Iran’s intelligence service, as part of an investigation into a security incident at RAF Fairford in southwest England.
The suspects are a 24-year-old British citizen and a 25-year-old dual British-Iranian national, both from London. Police said they were arrested “on suspicion of assisting a foreign intelligence service.”
Investigation concerns incident last month
The investigation relates to a security scare last month at RAF Fairford, a British airbase used by the United States.
“The country to which the investigation relates is Iran,” police said in a statement.
