Sina Amjadian: United Airlines Pilot Barred From Israel Flights Over Unverified Iran and Hezbollah Allegations

Israel has barred United Airlines pilot Sina Amjadian from serving as a crew member on flights to the country following a security review prompted by unverified allegations that he expressed support for Iran’s government, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah.
Senior Israeli Transportation Ministry officials confirmed the restriction to Ynet, which reported that the allegations came from posts by other users on X. Ynet said it could not independently verify the claims.
An October 19 letter from Israel’s Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry referred the allegations to security and transportation officials. The material presented to authorities included two posts by other users, rather than original statements or social media posts by Amjadian, according to Ynet.
United Airlines said Amjadian does not operate flights to Israel and currently flies routes within the United States and to Canada, according to Israeli media reports. The restriction therefore does not change any existing flight assignments to Israel.
