Officer involved shooting in Port Charlotte

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident on Bersell Avenue in Port Charlotte that included an officer-involved shooting. Sheriff Prummell is expected to give an update later this evening.

The agency says the investigation is very active and no further information will be released at this time.
