Fire danger rises in North Alabama as dry weather continues

The Alabama Forestry Commission says now is prime time for wildfires to spark across North Alabama, as meteorologists predict another round of dry weather. Much of North Alabama is seeing severe to abnormally dry drought conditions, with the driest areas in northern Madison, Limestone, Lauderdale and Colbert counties.
Places like cotton fields and woods behind homes could be where those fires start.
