MP Helen Haines Seriously Injured in Wangaratta, Australia; Police Investigate Possible Deliberate Collision

Independent MP Dr Helen Haines has suffered serious lower body injuries after being struck by a vehicle outside her electorate office in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia.

Channel 9 reported that the member for Indi was in a serious condition and was being transported by air ambulance from Wangaratta to Melbourne.

Police are investigating whether the collision was deliberate. Earlier reporting from 7NEWS said Haines was taking items out of her car’s boot in a parking bay when she was struck.
