Prichard reviews police chief applicants as sheriff’s office contract continues

Mayor Carletta Davis said the city’s consultant is vetting candidates, with interviews expected to begin within the next few weeks. Sheriff Paul Burch said the agreement covers patrol services and responses to calls for service.

“We have over two dozen police chief applicants right now, and so we’re really excited about that,” Davis said.
