Alisha Samuels: Man No Longer a Murder Suspect

Alisha Samuels’ fatal stabbing in Manchester remains under investigation after police confirmed that a 25-year-old man previously arrested is no longer being treated as a murder suspect. He has been released on police bail while enquiries into other matters continue.
The 26-year-old was found seriously injured on Dorking Avenue in Newton Heath after officers responded to reports of a disturbance at around 2am on Thursday, October 15. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Friends have shared emotional tributes online. Writing on Facebook, Aimee Quinn remembered their daily conversations, Alisha’s humour and the holidays they had planned together, expressing disbelief that she would never hear her friend’s laugh again.
Detective Chief Inspector Justin Bryant said the investigation remains active, with officers continuing to seek other individuals believed to have been involved. He urged people to avoid speculation, warning that misinformation could hinder enquiries and cause further distress to Alisha’s family.
Her family has asked for privacy. Anyone with information, mobile phone recordings, CCTV or doorbell footage can contact police on 0161 856 5464, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
