Colorado State University student arrested after suspected napalm found in dorm room

A Colorado State University student was arrested after police found a jar containing a substance consistent with napalm in his dorm room in Fort Collins, Colorado, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by KUSA.
The student was booked into the Larimer County jail on suspicion of felony possession of explosives or an incendiary device and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.
Students reported concerns at Durward Hall
University housing staff contacted CSU Police on Monday after reviewing a report from two students who said another student might have white phosphorus or napalm in his room at Durward Hall.
Both witnesses told investigators the student showed them a glass jar containing a white substance and identified it as napalm, according to the affidavit.
One witness said the student later placed the jar above the room’s ceiling.
Police searched the room
Officers executing a search warrant recovered the jar and materials described in the affidavit as aluminum powder and black iron oxide.
Investigators also found an empty pipe device that the affidavit described as consistent with an incendiary-type explosive device.
The supplied report did not identify the student. The allegations have not been proven in court.
