Zelensky says he feels betrayed after Trump’s Russian diesel deal

Zelensky said he felt betrayed by Donald Trump in a Piers Morgan interview following the U.S. president’s agreement to lift sanctions on Russian diesel exports.

Asked directly about betrayal, the Ukrainian president answered yes, while explaining that the situation went beyond his personal feelings.

Speaking on Wednesday, October 14, Zelensky described it as painful when Trump chose a side other than Ukraine’s.

The remarks followed Trump’s call for Ukraine to replace Zelensky amid their disagreement over the diesel arrangement.
