NYC weather: Drier Monday with afternoon sunshine expected

NYC weather is expected to turn drier Monday, October 12, with a cloudy start followed by afternoon sunshine as clouds gradually move south, according to the National Weather Service’s New York office.

Morning temperatures will be in the 50s, rising into the lower and middle 70s during the afternoon.

A slight chance of an early shower remains across the far southern portion of the forecast region. Otherwise, dry conditions are expected as cloud cover decreases throughout the day.

NYC weather: Morning wind gusts up to 20 mph

Northerly winds will blow around 10 mph, with gusts reaching up to 20 mph possible during the morning.

The forecast afternoon temperatures are above New York City’s average high of 66°F for the date. Sunset is at 6:20 p.m.
