Tornado Warning Fayetteville NC, Hope Mills NC and Spring Lake NC remains in effect until 12:15 p.m. EDT Sunday, with radar indicating rotation capable of producing a tornado across a heavily populated part of central North Carolina.
The warning covers Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Bonnie Doone, Rockfish, Raeford and Dundarrach, along with nearby communities.
Radar indicates possible tornado
The National Weather Service says radar is detecting rotation that could produce a tornado in the warned area.
No hail is currently expected with this storm.
The warning area includes more than 326,000 people, so anyone in the path should take the warning seriously and move to shelter now.
If you’re in the affected area, go to a small interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
If you’re in a mobile home or vehicle, move to a more substantial shelter if it’s safe to do so.
