King Khalid Airport Terminal 4 was targeted by an unidentified projectile, according to the Saudi-led coalition, as another security incident hit Riyadh’s main international airport.

The coalition said the projectile struck Terminal 4 at King Khalid International Airport, triggering a fire at the site.

Authorities said the fire resulting from the attack was being handled directly by the competent emergency teams on the ground.

The exact type and origin of the projectile were not immediately identified.

The latest incident comes after the deadly attack on King Khalid International Airport that killed 12 people and injured more than 300, according to Saudi authorities.
