Tornado Warning for Allendale SC and Screven GA until 4:15 PM EDT

Tornado Warning remains in effect for parts of Allendale County, South Carolina, and Screven County, Georgia, until 4:15 p.m. EDT Saturday.

The National Weather Service says the tornado has been observed, making this an especially dangerous situation for communities near the Georgia-South Carolina border.

The warned area includes locations south of Allendale and northeast of Sylvania, with about 729 people potentially exposed.

Residents should take shelter immediately in a small interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.

People in mobile homes or vehicles should move to a stronger shelter if it is safe to do so.

The Tornado Warning remains active until 4:15 p.m. EDT unless extended or canceled earlier.
