Hurricane Isaias damage reported in Pace, Florida as trees come down across neighborhoods

Hurricane Isaias damage is being reported in Pace, Florida, where strong winds brought down trees and caused significant damage across residential areas.
Images from Pace show numerous fallen trees and branches, including damage in neighborhoods and along Quintette Road.
Residents in the area reported experiencing an intense burst of damaging winds as the strongest part of the storm passed nearby.
The hurricane’s eyewall reportedly tracked roughly 15 to 20 miles east of Pace, while powerful winds on the western side of the circulation still caused widespread tree damage.
Some residents described the most intense winds as possibly associated with a sting-jet-like feature, although that specific meteorological explanation has not yet been officially confirmed.
Emergency crews are expected to assess blocked roads, fallen trees and possible infrastructure damage as conditions improve.
Residents should continue avoiding downed trees and power lines and follow local emergency guidance while cleanup and damage assessments begin.
