Flash Flood Warning for Coffee and Geneva Counties, Alabama

A flash flood warning is in effect for southern Coffee County and western Geneva County, Alabama, until 2:30 a.m. CDT Saturday, October 10.
Affected communities include Geneva, Samson, Kinston and Coffee Springs. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee says heavy rain is causing flash flooding or could trigger it shortly.
The alert highlights a considerable flash flood damage threat. Rainbands associated with Isaias could inundate creeks, streams, roads, underpasses and other low-lying areas.
Move to higher ground immediately if you are in a flood-prone location. Do not walk or drive through floodwater. Residents should exercise particular caution overnight, when flooded roads and rapidly rising water are harder to see, and follow local emergency instructions.
