Riyadh Missiles: Coalition Reports Interceptions, Houthis Claim Airport Hit

Riyadh missiles were destroyed by the Saudi-led coalition, according to a statement reported by CGTN Europe, while the Houthis claimed a ballistic missile struck King Khalid International Airport.

The coalition said it destroyed two ballistic missiles launched toward the Saudi capital. It also reported intercepting and destroying a Houthi ballistic missile fired toward Khamis Mushait.

In a separate statement carried by CGTN Europe, the Houthis claimed their attack on King Khalid Airport hit its target, caused damage and disrupted air traffic.

The reports present differing accounts of the outcome. The supplied statements do not independently establish whether the airport sustained damage or whether flights were affected.

No casualty figures were included in the statements.
