Special Marine Warning issued for Mobile Bay until 2 PM CDT; waterspout possible

A Special Marine Warning has been issued for South Mobile Bay and North Mobile Bay until 2:00 PM CDT Saturday, October 3, as strong storms move across the area.

The warning includes the possibility of wind gusts greater than 34 knots and a waterspout, while no hail is currently expected.

Affected areas include waters near Mobile, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Fairhope, Point Clear, Bellefontaine, Heron Bay, Magnolia Springs and Gulf Shores.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately and be prepared for steep waves, strong winds and rapidly changing conditions.
