Dog burned in Geneva house fire that killed 15 other animals is expected to recover, vet says

A dog that survived a Geneva house fire which killed 15 other dogs is now receiving around-the-clock care at an emergency clinic in Casselberry.
The dog — nicknamed "Rudy" by staff because his red nose reminded them of Rudolph the reindeer — suffered burns to his face and body in Monday's fire.
"It could have been a lot worse for him, honestly," said Dr. Alexandria Foster, of the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida.
Foster and her staff at the clinic's Casselberry location will be keeping a close eye on Rudy over the next few days.
