Lansing, Michigan police to provide update on deadly officer-involved shooting

The Lansing Police Department will provide an update Thursday on a deadly officer-involved shooting that left a 29-year-old man dead. The shooting happened Sept.
23 in the 600 block of Jolly Road, just east of Cedar Street.
Police were called to the area around 4:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a man armed with a handgun who was banging on doors and windows.
Lansing Police Chief Rob Backus said officers who responded found the man with a gun.
