Students safe after lockdown at a Montgomery Co. middle school

A middle school in Montgomery County was placed into lockdown on the morning of Sept. 30.

Official response and confirmed impact

The incident was isolated between students in a classroom, and was quickly contained and addressed by school staff and resource officers, according to district officials.

The district said staff members at McNabb Middle School activated the Centegix Alert system, immediately placing the building into lockdown.

Emergency responders were notified right away and swiftly responded, according to district officials.

The school district says the safety of students and staff will remain their top priority.
