Pickup truck, camper crash on Route 50 near Mountwood Park; 1 injured

Wood County dispatchers say a pickup truck and the camper it was hauling were heavily damaged after going off the side of the road on Route 50 near mile marker 16.

It happened at 4:47 p.m. three to four miles past Mountwood Park going toward Ritchie County, according to dispatchers

One person was taken to the hospital. There is no word on the person’s injuries.

CCMC Ambulance Services, Deerwalk VFD, DOH and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
