Suspect in Central Ave. bus stop stabbing turns himself in, faces attempted murder charge

A stabbing at a Central Ave. bus stop sent a man to the hospital and sparked an intensive investigation that ended with a suspect turning himself in.

Colonie police responded Sept.

24, 2026, at about 2:34 p.m. to a reported stabbing near the CDTA bus stop on Central Avenue between Colonie Center Mall and Northway Mall.

Officers found a man with cuts to his face and neck and provided medical assistance until Colonie EMS arrived.
