Man charged in connection with investigation into deadly Cape Girardeau, Missouri shooting

A man is charged in connection with the investigation into a deadly shooting in downtown Cape Girardeau over the weekend.

According to court documents, police caught 24-year-old Herman Jackson III removing a bloody gun from the scene of the shooting early Sunday morning.

A juvenile died and three adults were wounded in the shooting on Broadway. Jackson is charged with tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

He’s being held at the Cape Girardeau County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
