Ponchatoula High School students evacuated after electrical panel overheated

Students at Ponchatoula High School were evacuated Monday after an electrical panel overheated on campus.

Official response and confirmed impact

Firefighters are on campus, and students have been temporarily evacuated so the panel can be checked.

School officials stressed that students are safe and are asking parents to not travel to the campus.

According to the school, checkouts cannot be conducted at this time.
