FAA: Weather Could Delay Flights at Boston, San Francisco and Five Other Airports
Flight delays are possible at seven major U.S. airports on Monday, September 28, as low clouds, wind and thunderstorms threaten to disrupt air traffic, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The FAA’s daily forecast identifies potential problems in Boston, Minneapolis–St. Paul, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.
Low Clouds and Wind Could Slow Four Airports
The agency said low clouds and wind may slow arrivals and departures at:
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
- Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Thunderstorms Threaten Flights in the West
Thunderstorms could also delay flights at Las Vegas (LAS), Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) and Salt Lake City (SLC), according to the FAA.
The forecast identifies possible disruptions but does not provide expected delay lengths or announce airport closures.
