Lithium-ion battery fire contained to bedroom in Trumbull home

A lithium-ion battery pack caught fire inside a Trumbull home, prompting a response from Long Hill Fire and mutual aid departments.

Fire response and evacuations

When firefighters arrived, they found a lithium-ion battery pack actively burning inside a bedroom.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire and conducted a thorough investigation to ensure no hazards remained from the battery.

The fire was contained to the battery pack and the room where it started, according to Long Hill Fire.

Earlier in the day, Long Hill Fire also provided mutual aid to the Easton Fire Department at a separate house fire.

The department said crews handled 18 calls for service throughout the storm.
