Oklahoma Task Force 1 assists with flood response in New Mexico

Oklahoma Task Force 1 has deployed swiftwater rescue personnel from Tulsa and Oklahoma City to assist with flood response operations in New Mexico.

The deployed teams are trained year-round in swiftwater rescue, boat operations, and flood response.

TFD said the teams are prepared to provide specialized assistance when requested. As flooding continues, TFD reminds motorists and residents to turn around, don’t drown.

Never drive or walk through flooded roadways, as water depth and current can be difficult to determine.
