Couple, both aged 78, killed in house explosion

A couple died in a house explosion in Alabama. Madison County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two people were killed in the explosion, which happened in Hazel Green.

Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler Berryhill identified the two people killed as husband and wife Jimmy Stephenson and Patricia Stephenson, both 78.

The call came in around 4:45 a.m. Friday.

A nearby neighbor, Kerri Cutts, sent a video to 48 News in which a loud boom can be heard toward the end.
