– A former Klein ISD athletic coordinator was arrested on Saturday, charged with multiple child sex crimes, according to court records.
Arrest and charges
Records allege that Codutti started a long-term sexual relationship with a then-16-year-old student, which continued until she was 23 years old.
According to the documents, the victim told investigators that she and Codutti would share "sexual images" with each other before they began a physical sexual relationship.
The victim told authorities they would have sexual encounters at Codutti's home and on the school campus, documents show.
Charges and court proceedings
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old Nicholas Alan Codutti was charged with indecency with a child and sexual performance by a child.
Court records obtained by ABC13 show that the alleged abuse happened in 2018 and 2019, while Codutti was employed with Tomball ISD as a coach.
HCSO said the investigation began on April 29 after a report on the alleged abuse was submitted to Child Protective Services.
Detectives said they filed charges on Friday before the HCSO Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, assisted by District 1 patrol deputies, arrested Codutti on Saturday.
