Students at Lexington, Kentucky middle school, create ‘No Vaping’ advertisements

6th graders at Leestown middle school took part in a vaping prevention program, creating “No Vaping” ads.

Official response and confirmed impact

Rebekah Shoopman, coordinator of community education at the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department, stopped by the school to build student’ health knowledge, according to a Facebook post by the Health Department.

The 4 parts no vaping program builds students health knowledge and skills through real world application, the post said.

The program is part of “Catch My Breath,” a nationwide project highlighting the dangers of vaping and encouraging children to make healthy choices by abstaining from vaping.
