Significant flooding hit Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday as a nor’easter brought rising coastal waters, strong winds and rough surf to the Jersey Shore. Video shows the storm’s impact on the coastal community.

Coastal flood warning remains in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning for the Cape May County shoreline through Sunday afternoon. It warns that water could rise two to three feet above ground level in low-lying areas near the coast and tidal waterways, flooding roads and threatening some properties.

A high surf advisory and high rip current risk are also in effect. Residents and visitors should avoid flooded roads and stay clear of the dangerous surf.
