Champaign, Illinois shooting: 1 hurt

One person was hurt after a Thursday night shooting in Champaign.

According to the Champaign Police Department, the shooting happened in the 2600 block of West Springfield Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 41-year-old man with a potentially life-threatening leg injury.

The man was treated on-scene and taken to a local hospital. CPD said the man is currently in the hospital and is in stable condition.
