Two injured, driver arrested after alleged DWI crash in Lynbrook

Two people were injured and a driver was arrested following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Merrick Road in Lynbrook on Sept.

18, according to Lynbrook Fire Department spokesman Steve Grogan. Lynbrook police and firefighters responded to the crash at approximately 9:40 p.m.

“Lynbrook firefighters under the command of First Assistant Chief Peter Festa responded to a reported accident and fire with occupants trapped.

There was also information that a vehicle had exploded,” Grogan said.
