Suspect detained after deadly shooting on Blalock Road in Houston

Houston police now confirm that an adult male suspect has been detained after the fatal shooting in the 3400 block of Blalock Road. One adult male was pronounced dead at the scene.

Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Spring Branch area after one person was found dead Wednesday evening.

Officers responded shortly before 7:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting in progress near the intersection of Blalock Road and Kempwood Drive.

When police arrived, they found one person dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

Authorities have not announced a suspect description, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
