Man seriously injured in Pine Island ATV crash

A 69-year-old man was seriously injured in an ATV crash that occurred in Pine Island on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at around 8 a.m.

Fire response and evacuations

The crash took place in the area of 8th St. SW. and County Road 3 NW.

The Pine Island Fire Department found the crash victim conscious and breathing but badly injured once they arrived on the scene.

The man was transported by Mayo Clinic ambulance to the St. Marys emergency room.

The accident slowed traffic for about 30 minutes as authorities cleared the scene.
