One Killed as Russian Jet Drones Strike Kyiv Petrol Stations and Rail Infrastructure

One person was killed and at least seven others were injured Wednesday morning when Russian jet-powered drones struck petrol stations and transport infrastructure across Kyiv, Ukrainian authorities said.

The victim was hospitalized in critical condition following the attack but later died from his injuries.

Two Petrol Stations Hit

A drone directly struck a petrol station in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, while another petrol station was damaged and caught fire in the Darnytskyi district.

A four-storey business center, warehouses and other commercial buildings were also damaged during the attack.

Railway Worker Injured

Ukrainian railway officials said rail infrastructure was targeted and an employee returning home after completing his shift suffered shrapnel wounds.

Explosions were heard across the capital as smoke rose above several districts and emergency crews responded to fires.

The strikes came hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met U.S. President Donald Trump and discussed a possible agreement to halt attacks on energy infrastructure.
