Flash flood emergency issued for parts of Mora County

A flash flood emergency has been issued for parts of Mora County through 4:30 pm on Tuesday.

Thunderstorms producing heavy rain amounts between 2 and 3.5 inches have been observed. Additional rain between 0.5 and 1.5 inches are possible.

The National Weather Service says this is a "particularly dangerous situation" for Monte Aplanado, Canon Ledoux and Rito Cebolla.
