Attempted murder suspect indicted by grand jury

A man who was charged with attempted murder in June on Martha’s Vineyard was indicted by a grand jury on Sept. 9.

Brandao Geraldo Alves Caldeira, 38, is scheduled to be arraigned at 2 pm on Oct. 5 in Dukes County Superior Court before Judge Peter B. Krupp.

Tisbury Police, assisted by Massachusetts State Police, arrested Caldeira after a reported domestic violence incident at a Cook Road home at 10:45 pm on June 21.

His indicted charges include assault to murder, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering a building for nighttime felony, and witness, juror, police, or court official intimidation.
