More Than 30 Bodies Recovered After Repelled Attack in Zamfara, Nigeria

More than 30 bodies believed to be those of suspected bandits have been recovered from farmlands in Nigeria’s northwestern Zamfara State, police said Sunday.

The discovery came days after security forces repelled an attack in Bukkuyum town on October 28.

Zamfara police spokesperson Yazid Abubakar said the attackers fled following a gunfight with security forces, many of them with gunshot wounds.
