Sacramento deputies detained Andrey Demskiy, 28, after a gruesome crime left officers traumatized.

Responding to a domestic disturbance, police forced entry to find his one-year-old son, Micah, beheaded in a bedroom.

Demskiy faces murder and assault charges and is being held without bail.

Authorities called the scene among the worst they’ve encountered.

Court date set for December 24.
