A man is in custody following a deadly stabbing spree in Manhattan on Monday morning, which left two people dead and a third critically injured, NY Post reports.
Authorities apprehended the suspect near 46th Street and 1st Avenue, and he is currently being held at a local police precinct, sources told NBC New York.

Shortly after, a second stabbing took place at 30th Street and FDR Drive in Kips Bay. A 67-year-old man was attacked and later pronounced dead.
The third attack targeted a woman at 42nd Street and 1st Avenue. She sustained severe injuries and remains in critical condition, authorities said.
According to a report by the New York Post, sources characterized each stabbing as random, stating that the attacker initiated disputes with each of the victims.
As of now, the motive for the stabbing spree in Manhattan remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
